| Dot-matrix hologram is the result of designs comprising many tiny dots, where each dot is a separate diffraction grating. Each laser pulse will create a diffraction pattern. As a result, pulse to pulse energy stability and beam quality are the key factors for fabricating high quality dot-matrix holograms. Awave series 355 nm lasers have been proven to be excellent choices in production environment.
The standard Q-switched laser will always have longer pulse width and less pulse energy when the repetition rate increases. This limits on-flying dot-hologram-fabrication, which needs the constant pulse energy at the different repetition rate. Optowave has developed a patent pending laser technology with the capability to maintain constant pulse energy over very wide range of operating repetition rates.
